Sankeien Gardens
Built in 1906 by a wealth silk merchant, Seankeien Gardens features graceful bridges and landscape designs from all over Japan.
Onuma Quasi-National Park
The gamed Onuma Quasi-National Park is considered to be one of the most, if not the most beautiful landscapes in Japan. Surrounded by volcanic peaks, cross graceful bridges and take in the beautiful lake scenery.
Alaska Raptor Centre
Visit bald eagles, owls, hawks, and falcons at this sprawling, 17-acre bird treatment center and learn about their habitats.
Hubbard Glacier
The Hubbard Glacier is famous for being North America’s largest tidewater glacier. It’s over 120 kilometres long (75 miles), 11 km wide (7 miles) and flows directly into Disenchantment Bay, which feeds into the North Pacific Ocean. The Hubbard Glacier height is said to be 600 feet at its terminal face (350 feet exposed above the waterline and 250 feet below the waterline. For perspective, this is the same height as the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington. It’s HUGE!
